about what we see.
We are not paid for our reviews and do not seek payment (and will never)
for our reviews. What we want to is to project the absolute true
image to you, as the visitor to Singapore. We do not judge base on
facilities etc. as it would be unfair to smaller hotels. Essentially
the review is based on how one would feel when he walks into the hotel.

After hearing much about the recent upgrade at Peninsula
and Excelsior, I decide to pay it a visit. Sadly, the
lobby at the ground floor still needs a lot of work. Would
help if signs are displayed more clearly that we need to take
a lift to the lobby landing. No smiles, no nods, I am quite
disappointed with the attitude of the staff at the ground
floor. Staff at the lobby landing are friendlier. Nice
environment at the lobby landing, posh.

A very stylish hotel, but too bad, I did not experience the
kind of friendliness which I would like to see. I was not
greeted by a single person and most hotel lobby staff shun
away from my eye sight when I try to make eye contact. But
the atmosphere of the hotel is first class.

I am very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the hotel
staff. I was greeted (I am in casual t-shirt and jeans, and
definitely do not look like a tourist!) by 8 out of 10 hotel
staff! Something which I have not experienced anywhere else!
A big THUMBS UP!

for example, not having to hunt for the lifts, or not having to
walk a long distance from the lifts to the main entrance/exit etc.
