How We Classify the Hotels: In many ways, hotels in Singapore are classified slightly differently from the some countries around the world. Singapore, being a small country in terms of physical size (you can drive from the west to the east in about 45mins), classification by locations is made even tougher. Some hotels are even located right in the middle of two location classes, for example, in the middle of Shenton Way and Orchard Road! To make matters even more complicated, you find hotels being classified as 3 stars, but they offer 4 or even 5 stars facilities as well! Even some budget hotels offer bath tubs in their rooms (and this is not usually found in budget hotels in other countries!). There is even a budget hotel who has swimming pool! This has made classification of Singapore hotels extremely difficult. Therefore, we classify the hotels in accordance to our own experience, with references from guides and information which we obtained, and also from our own personal visits to the hotels. With the tough job of classifying the hotels, we would like to disclaim all responsibilities, our classifications are meant as a reference guide and nothing else. It (our classifications) should not be used as an official guide. We strongly suggest that you find out more about the hotel by clicking on information page before making any bookings, if you are not familiar with their facilities.
